Xiaomi Mi Air 12 Reviewed Again – Still the best Ultrabook you can buy

The Xiaomi Mi Air 12 is probably the best notebook that I have tested and owned. It is a great travel companion and offers pretty much everything you want to it. It has been on my possession for more than a year already, and here are my lists of pros and cons.

Xiaomi Mi Air 12 – Still alive after a year?

A year after, how is it?
  • Well, this notebook has certainly served me well, overall it is still functional. However, for now the Loudspeakers are the only major issue, it is broken but you can still use the 3.5mm audio jack if you want to use it on other purposes.
  • The Keyboard and Touchpad still is 100% fully functional, no issues whatsoever.

How is the Performance?

  • Well, my version came with the Skylake Chipset underneath, and it delivers great performance. I mainly used it for light tasks like Web Browsing, Photoshop and Office tasks but it is still capable of running  Adobe Premier Pro CC. I did use it on my reviews especially when I am on the go.
  • Thermals remain cool and it doesn’t overheat.
  • You can play mainstream games like Dota 2, LOL and CS at very good fps, but on minimal details.

Connectivity?

  • Also, no issues with the wireless here. So far i haven’t experienced any issues with connectivity. It is fast, stable and reliable. Anyway, it has a high quality Intel Dual Band AC8260

Battery Life?

The battery showed some signs of degradation but still, I am getting about 3 to 4 hours on a single charge. The charger is also holding strong, no problems or issues on it.

How reliable?

With the exception of the broken loudspeaker, the Xiaomi Mi Air 12 is reliable, and I would still highly recommend this notebook to anyone.

Issues or Cons?

  • You only get a non-licensed or inactivated version of Windows 10
  • It downclocks in order to maintain temps, so performance isn’t 100%
