Chuwi Hi13 reviewed again after a year

Here is my final review of the Chuwi Hi13, I had this tablet for over a year now and it’s still alive and kicking. It does have some issues but it is still a solid tablet.

Chuwi Hi13 review after a year of use

After a year of use, what do I think of the Chuwi Hi13?

The only issue I had with this tablet, is that the battery is essentially dead. If you unplugged it, it will turn off, so it’s safe to say that the battery has degraded.

On a good note, everything still works…

  • The screen is impressive, no dead pixels and the stylus works as it should. The HiPen H3 Stylus is pressure sensitive and works great on built in apps like sketchpad. Unfortunately, it struggles on Photoshop with terrible delays in responsiveness
  • Performance is average at best. The Intel Apollo Lake N3450 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage, doesn’t really spell performance. It is okay on most tasks, web browsing via Google Chrome runs fine but not the best and other less demanding apps work perfectly. This tablet is not recommended for gaming and video editing.
  • Wireless performance is good, it has a Dual Band Wireless AC 3165 built in, probably the most common chipset available, and it works really well. No disconnection issues and any wireless issues.
  • The keyboard and touchpad still works also, it does offer above average user experience.

The Chuwi Hi13 is an average tablet overall, it doesn’t offer impressive performance, but it does have a high quality screen and a Stylus which is quite enjoyable to use.
