According to Xiaomi, the Mi 2s is much faster than the iPhone X. The major changes from the old Mi2 includes a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip and a Dual Camera System. It also features Wireless Charging and Android Oreo out of the box.

Beautiful than ever
It’s no secret that the Xiaomi Mi 2s, just like its older brother is attractive. It still has that Ceramic build on it and an all premium design.
The Fastest Xiaomi Phone yet
The Xiaomi Mi 2s is a Flagship, so normally it comes with the latest and fastest chipset around. So, the Mi2s now packs the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chip, which is an improvement over the 835.
A lot of variants
Apparently it will be released with plenty of variants, from 6/8 GB RAM to 64/128/256 GB of Storage options.
Same Screen
Apparently, the screen is still the same 5.99 inch IPS Full HD Plus with a 18:9 Screen ratio. It still has that near bezel-less experience. Although I was expecting AMOLED screen, it still uses an LCD Panel.
Front Camera Tucked in the corner
Quite different from the the 18:9 screen of lets say, the OnePlus 5T, the Front Camera of the Mi 2s is tucked in on the bottom corner. Which means, you can take your selfies quite differently. Which maybe a pro or con, depending on the user.
Wireless Charging
Wireless Charging on the ceramic cover is now available.
Android Oreo out of the box
Still the phone runs Miui 9, but it will come out with Android Oreo and some of the features associated with that OS is now available.
Goodbye 3.5mm Audio Jack
Similar to the older Mi 2, the Mi2s shed of the 3.5mm Audio Jack in favor of CDLA via USB Type C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter. I am personally not a fan of, but it is a personal choice. What do you think of it?
The Biggest Change: Dual Camera System
From a Single Camera, which literally has nothing new to offer on the Mi 2, to a totally revamped Dual Camera Feature, The Camera placement has also been changed, from the center to the corners or sides. The main camera is a 12MP Sony IMX363 with 1.4 micron pixels. The secondary lens is also a 12 mp Samsung S5K3M3 unit and has a f2/4 aperture lens. The wide angle lens also has Dual Pixel Autofocus. Given the specs just mentioned, the camera is certainly promising. I am still hoping that the Audio of from the Microphone has been improved.
In addition, 2x Optical Zoom also now a feature as well as Portrait mode with AI is also available. At the front is the 5.0 mp front facing camera tucked in on the bottom corner of the display.
