Hello, this is my brief comparison between two midranger chipsets, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and the Snapdragon 625. How fast is the new Snapdragon 660 overall and what features does it offer?
Twice the performance
In this comparison I used two phones in comparison:

Highlights of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660
- Superb performance, almost twice the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
- The Adreno 512 also offers twice the performance of the Adreno 506
- Much more efficient, on stress test or heavy use, it doesn’t utilize 100% of its cores
- Thermals on idle are similar to the Snapdragon 625, 30-31C
- On heavy use, temps rise just 44C even on heavy gaming (similar results to the Snapdragon 625)
- Superb Gaming Performance and multitasking
- No overheating issues
- Performance is close or only slightly behind the Snapdragon 835
Cons:
- It is expensive, the Mi Note 3 costs $300 plus, so you do have to spend to get what you want
Currently the fastest Midrange Chipset Available
Overall, the Snapdragon 660 is simply impressive and would likely be the top Mid-end Chipset available. But it isn’t available to everyone, as the chip is still too pricey or expensive. Nevertheless, it offers superb performance for the price.
