GPU Issue

I've been having this issue with my GTX 1060 3GB that I got just a month or so ago. Basically, once my computer has been kept turned on for a couple of hours, whenever I try to play a video game (In this case, League of Legends), I get some nasty FPS dips and general lagginess. If I restart my computer, then it fixes the issue for the time being, but once the computer has been left on for a bit, the issue returns.

I've tried going into the NVIDIA control panel and setting power management mode to maximum, but that still hasn't fixed the issues. My GPU drivers are also up to date. I've also removed the NVIDIA HD Audio software because that had been causing issue previously.

Specs:

  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB
  • CPU: AMD FX-8150
  • PSU: EVGA 750 BQ
  • Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming

I've also been having another issue that I don't believe is GPU related. Occasionally, my screen will freeze and my speakers will go into an audio loop and start buzzing. In order to fix the issue, I have to force restart my computer. This tends to happen when I'm either gaming, or watching YouTube videos, with the latter being a little more rare. I don't think this is a GPU issue because I also had this issue with my R9 270x GPU that I had before upgrading. I think it might be a PSU issue, but I'd like some confirmation or theories before I sink money into buying something that may or may not solve the issue.
