The Alldocube Mix Plus is still one of the cheapest or most affordable Tablet you can buy, that features a Kabylake chipset underneath. It also has Wacom Stylus, which is perfect for use with Photoshop. So here are my pros and cons after a year of use.
Fast, Reliable and Wacom Still Works
Its been a year and hows this tablet?
Well, I can say that everything about this tablet is still working perfectly except for the keyboard.
Photoshop?
Yes, I’ve tested it with the latest version (2018), and it performs well. So for any of you looking for a tablet that works great with Photoshop, then look for this tablet.
Performance?
- This is also one of the reason why I got this Tablet. Performance is exceptional on this tablet, 100% pure raw power is expected.
- But it does get too hot, around 90C plus on heavy use especially heavy apps like Adobe Premier Pro CC
- Thermal Throttling is an issue, about 200MHz
- Gaming is largely unaffected, it can still deliver 50-60fps on games like Dota 2, LOL and CS
Connectivity?
- Wireless performance is good, stable with no issues of connectivity. It has an Intel Dual Band AC3165 Chipset underneath.
Battery Life?
- I estimate about 2-3 hours at most now, battery has degraded a bit, but it still offers good mileage.
Issues or Cons:
- If you use it on heavy task, expect high temps
- Keyboard is pretty much useless, it is small, cramped and the touchpad is minute also.
- The design is old
My Recommendation?
- You get this tablet for the performance and capability of using Photoshop. Get it a least less than $350, which I think is the best price you can get. Also get only the Wacom Stylus.
