Here is my final look of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, a midranger Smartphone with Flagship looks, features and build quality. Is it really worth buying?
- Identical look to the Xiaomi Mi 6 – The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 bares the same Glass Design and materials of the Mi 6, it also is rated Splash Proof.
- Blisteringly fast Performance – The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and Adreno 512 delivers superb performance, both multitasking and gaming experience is smooth and comparable even the more expensive Chipsets in the market.
- The same 1080p screen of the Xiaomi Mi 6 – the Mi Note 3 has the same 1080p IPS Panel but is slightly bigger at 5.5 inches. Screen quality is great.
- Can Shoot 4K with OIS – Optical Image Stabilization is present even in 1080p @ 30fps.
- Front Touch ID is super quick – the performance of the Fingerprint ID is accurate, reliable and instantaneous.
- Superb Connectivity – Dual Band Performance is strong, stable and has great range. Same performance with 4G LTE.
- NFC support – NFC is available with Android Beam Support
- 14 hours battery life – Battery life is superb (3500mAh). On pure gaming, it can manage up to 3 hours.
Cons:
- Goodbye 3.5mm Audio Jack – If you ever want to plug in a pair of headphones, then you have to bring the adapter with you.
- No 1080p @ 60fps – Video mode is only 4K and 1080p @ 30fps
- Audio from built in mics isn’t good – an issue that most Xiaomi Smartphones have
- Chinese ROM – my version only, no Android 8.0 Oreo update yet and Chinese ROM have a lot of Bloatwares.

Great Mid-ranger but you do have to pay a premium
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is by far a superb Mid-End Smartphone, but it is not cheap. But I think $350 is a great price for this Phone, considering you get a lot of features and blistering fast performance
