My phone recently started to getting worse, it shuts down unexpectedly etc. so I admitted I need to buy a new one. My girlfriend told me that she has an iPhone that she doesn't use anymore (bought 8 version recently) and I offered I can buy it from her for a fair price. She brought it to me next day but when I started talking about money she just told me to take it and that she won't take any money from me. I took the phone (if I didn't she'd put it into my bag anyway cause she's stubborn when it comes to this kind of things). Now when I tell her I feel bad about taking the $500 phone just like that, she says that I make her unhappy.We're together for a month but we've known each other for 1.5 year and developed really strong friendship over that time. She's the most loving, caring and respectful person I've ever met and I just don't want to argue about so insane things like a phone. Besides, it's not that I don't have enough money for buying a new phone. I could afford iPhone pretty easily, I just thought it'd be a good idea to buy it from her if she doesn't even use it. Maybe I'm overreacting about the whole situation but I feel I'm stuck.
