Dual monitor resize issue

Description of problem

When opening anything fullscreen on my main monitor it resizes or pushes the other windows on the other monitor around. I know enough to know that this is caused by a combination of both the native resolutions being different and my main monitor being on the left. not every application supports the native res and a lot do not have usable and workable windowed modes either. I would also like to keep viewing things from the left hand side due to the set up i have. Is there a way i can make it check the monitors the other way around or have it not check the 2nd monitor in this scenario?

Other relevant info

Using windows 10

When this issue began

After moving and having to set up my monitors the other way around

Recurring issue

Yes

Cause/Steps to recreate the issue

its pretty simple, open any fullscreen app

What I've tried so far to resolve the issue

I have tried some of the makeshift fixes like changing resolution or switching the monitors but these do not work for the set up i have currently.
