Bitdefender threat scanner pop up everytime I restart or shutdown my PC

I get this popup that states: A problem has occurred in BitDefender Threat Scanner. A file containing error information has been created at C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\BitDefender Threat Scanner.dmp. You are strongly encouraged to send the file to the developers of the application for further investigation of the error.

I have tried to get rid of this file. Searched online for similar problems to find a solution. Have tried to kill the file through spybot and run multiple scans and search for anything dealing with Bitdefender. I am sure I am overlooking something, as I also don't remember ever installing this application nor any extension on any browser involved with bitdefender.

So if anyone can help me out to understand how this got onto my PC and how to be rid of it for good I would really appreciate it. Having not installed anything with bitdefender I dont know if its malicious or not even though no scans said so. So I came here first before following the popups suggestion to send that file to them.

Thanks for any help and suggestions. I will check back later today or tomorrow.
