AT&T “Unlimited Plus” plan vs. grandfathered “Data Unlimited 4G/LTE” plan

I’ve had an unlimited data plan with AT&T since the early iPhone days.  My plan managed to survive in various forms (grandfathered) through the period wherein AT&T stopped offering unlimited data (they eventually offered it again as part of a DirecTV package and now apparently decoupled it from DirecTV).  I’ve been reluctant to ever change to any new plans for fear of losing my ‘grandfathered’ plan and inadvertently get screwed by some missed fine-print detail. As far as I can tell, the Unlimited Plus plan would give me the same unlimited data (rate-limited after 22GB), but adds 10GB of tethering and free roaming in Mexico/Canada (nice gimmick; won’t be of much benefit for me).  I already pay for unlimited texts, and never reach my voice cap (BusinessTalk Nation 700), so those aspects are a wash. For 3 smartphones (2x unlimited data, 1x 3GB data plan), including a minor employer discount, my monthly bill is ~$250.  They told me this new plan would save me ~$40/mo.  Is there any reason I should avoid switching to the Unlimited Plus plan?
